It's almost time for us to begin to enjoy the fresh harvest of broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage and asparagus again…I can hardly wait. Here are a couple of super recipes that we love…


Creole Cabbage
2 Tbs. butter
1 small head head cabbage, thinly sliced
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 medium green pepper, seeded and sliced
1 tsp. oregano
¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
1 cup Roma tomatoes, diced
Salt and pepper to taste


• Melt butter in heavy skillet. Add everything except tomatoes. Cover and cook over low heat until tender. Stir frequently, but allow cabbage and onion to carmelize a little. Add tomatoes. Cook 10 more minutes uncovered.
