Written in April 2003 Rare opportunities at Foothills Nursery! The onset of this typhoon-like weather has caused a change in proposed class schedule at Foothills Nursery & Herbs. Take advantage of these rare opportunities while you can! Here is our new schedule: 10:00 a.m. High Diving 101- We will instruct on form for those who would like to scale the Norway Maple and perfect their skills diving into the depths of the back water garden. 11 :30 a.m. Back-Stroke for Beginners -Learn to back-stroke in the comfort and safety of the overflowing shallows in the front water garden. 12:30- 2:00- Lunch- SUSHI! It appears that the fish from a neighboring pond have escaped into the creeks both behind the nursery and across the street in the now flooded boxwood farm. You might also choose to relax in a mud bath in the area recently destroyed by a tractor trailer in front of the boxwoods...this will be limited to about 40 people at a time, so register soon. 2:00 p.m. Perfecting your Crawl Stroke -This class is for the more advanced swimmer. We will be tossed about a bit by the currents in the new river running from drive to drive across the nursery in front of the herb and vegetable gardens. 3:30 p.m. Holding Your Breath in Dark and Dirty Places -Since the basement now holds about 3' of water, we should take advantage of this opportunity for future scuba and deep water divers. We will hose you down outside afterwards! Prize will be given to the person who finds the sump pump! Hurry and register before all classes are filled!
